Dr. Carter has enjoyed working at Marden Medical Clinic for over 20 years.
She graduated from the University of Adelaide and worked in Darwin and Katherine before returning to work in Adelaide.

She enjoys the wide variety of general practice and family medicine.  It is a privilege to hear the stories of people of all ages, and backgrounds.

She values the role of Gp’s in promoting health and preventing disease. Dr. Carter is interested in all aspects of family medicine, including the management of chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, arthritis, and heart disease.

She is able to provide Antenatal Shared care. She is available  to insert and remove Implanon.

In her spare time Dr. Carter enjoys the opportunity to head to the Yorke Peninsula and watch the sunrise over the sea.

Dr. Sergeant has worked as a GP at Marden Medical Clinic for over 20 years. She graduated from Adelaide University and worked in country Victoria for 7 years before returning to Adelaide.

She is interested in all aspects of general and family medicine particularly asthma, women’s health, geriatric care and shared ante natal care.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with family and friends and following sport, particularly AFL.

Dr Niranja Colombaarachchi is a very experienced GP with extensive work in Queensland, Victoria and South Australia. Her special interests include chronic disease management such as asthma, emphysema, diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure, women’s and children’s health. She is qualified in performing procedures such as iron infusion, Implanon and Mirena/IUD insertion and removal. Dr Colombaarachchi is passionate about practicing high quality medicine and improving patients’ quality of life.

He offers a wide range of services and treatments for musculoskeletal conditions and injuries, neurological and post-stroke rehabilitation, geriatric conditions and rehabilitation, vertigo management.


Derek Ruse

Derek is a clinical psychologist having been employed in a number of mental health settings over the past 10 years. These include community mental health, private practice, and not for profit MH settings. He has experience consulting with a broad patient popular including adolescents, adults, and seniors. he approaches treating his patients with objectivity, compassion, and openness, ultimately focusing on patient health and wellbeing. Although Derek has been extensively trained in cognitive and behaviour psychology, he also has skills in a number of other therapeutic approaches including, EMDR, ACT, and DBT.

Derek is a psychologist with clinical endorsement, meaning in addition to his six education in the psychological sciences he has also completed a two year Registrar program.

Derek enjoys exercising and motorcycling and utilizing the skills he previously learnt as a tradesperson in renovating his old stone cottage.

Matt Evans graduated with his Bachelor of Podiatry from Uni SA in 2013. Since then he has enjoyed building his business, Sole Podiatry.

As a Podiatrist, Matt has an interest in the areas of clinical biomechanics, orthotic therapy, general foot care, toe nail surgery and paediatrics and regularly attends professional development events.

Matt is a member of the Australian Podiatry Association and Sports Medicine Australia and has experience in using manual therapy techniques such as dry needling, soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, muscle testing and strengthening as part of a holistic approach to Podiatry treatment.

Outside of work Matt is a keen sportsman having experience playing football, tennis and soccer for many years. He currently enjoys soccer and golf.
